V/A No Border Jam 3rd - CD výberovka kapiel z východnej Európy, medzi inými sú tu aj slovenské kapely JESUS UNDERGROUND BAND a ZÓNA A. Nahrávku som za pár eur kúpil od Leďa.

Jesus Underground Band tu majú skvelý song V úkryte, ktorý začína šialeným introm, v ktorom znie ukričaný prednes s divnou dikciou: 
Stretol som tvora, nahý, zverský, sedel na zemi a v rukách mal vlastné srdce a jedol ho...Hovorím: Je dobré priateľu? A on odpovedal:  Je veľmi trpké, ale chutí mi, lebo je to moje, moje srdce...!!!


Booklet - obal je kreslený, farebný a vnútrajšok je spravený čiernobielo, v štýle ranných 90-tych rokov, podobne ako si to pamätám z rôznych hudobných magazínov, každá kapela má jednu stranu bookletu.

NO BORDER JAM is the oldest Slovene festival of underground music founded in 1992 in line with the festivals like 'If Kids are United' in Vienna or 'Monte Paradiso' in Pula. The programme has presented numerous eminent anarcho punk and punk scene representatives, e.g. Oi Polloi, Marky Ramone, Citizen Fish, Wat Tyler, Icons of Filth, Anarcrust and local groups which are known also internationally, e.g. Pridigarji, Scuffy Dogs, CZD (Center za dehumanizacijo). The programme of the festival has been conceived by Dušan Hedl. It takes place in North Eastern Slovenia, the first No Border Jam festival was organised in Ptuj, then in Ormož, the next ones took place at the alternative culture centre Pekarna in Mariboru.

In 2004 the 11th No Border Jam took place in August. At the KURD club at Pekarna the following groups made their performance: Aktivna propaganda, Virus, Hausarest, Multiball, Alternativa, Muškat Hamburg, Red Five Point Star,Panicka and Dr. Zero from Slovenia and First Aid (A), Nulla Osta (CRO), 4 Sivits (D), Snobs (H), Semmy Komoly (H), Pain (UK) and By No Means (D).

In 2005 the programme presented: Confusion (Slo), Strongbow (D), Golliwog (Slo), The Eccos (A), Anus (Slo), 3=Pjančki (Slo), Klasofobija (Slo), Backstage (Slo), Scheinheilig (A), 4 Sivits (D), Carina (Slo) - v soboto: Harry (Slo), Gradska (Slo), Rentokill (A), Bakterije (Hr), Bez panike (Hr), Final aproach (Slo), Run Time Error (D), Pridigarji, KUD Idijoti, CZD

The festival includes also underground market, video, graffiti arts, piercing and various D.I.Y. activities. CD compilations of the No Border Jam festivals are a rare document of underground music.

Compilation of punk/HC/rock bands from east Europe released by Slovenian label Front Rock. 

Label info:

At the end of the 80s Dušan Hedl established the Front Rock record label. In 1999 Front Rock was integrated into music publishing programme of the non-governmental cultural organization 'Subkulturni azil', later Kulturni center Maribor. Up to 2004 the Front Rock record label has released over 50 recordings by punk and rock bands or compilations.

The Front Rock concept insists on (dis)covering new ground. It has offered the "first record" possibility to numerous local and international independent rock groups. Many music creations of idiosyncratic nature that attract limited and distinctive target audiences made their public debut under the Front Rock label. Some LPs and CDs are a sought after curiosity, also internationally. A popular series of compilation recordings from the No Border Jam festival, present a significant promotion tool for Slovene contemporary rock creation.
